How to care for Boston Fern
Water
Water the Boston Fern to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering frequency in the winter. Provide soft, lukewarm water and ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Light
Provide bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can scorch the fronds, while too little light can cause weak growth and poor frond development. A north-facing window or a spot receiving filtered light is ideal.
Nutrients
Fertilize the Boston Fern monthly during the growing season (spring through early fall) using a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half the strength recommended on the label. Avoid over-fertilizing as it can harm the plant.
