Tradescantia fluminensis, commonly known as the Wandering Jew, is a lush, evergreen perennial native to South America, particularly Brazil. How to care for Wandering Jew
Water
Water Tradescantia fluminensis regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering frequency in the winter to prevent root rot, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings.
Light
Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight but can tolerate moderate light conditions. Direct sunlight may scorch the leaves, so if placing near a south-facing window, use a sheer curtain to diffuse the intensity of the sun.
Nutrients
Fertilize Tradescantia fluminensis monthly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Avoid over-fertilization as it can damage the plant. During winter, reduce feeding to every other month to accommodate slower growth rates.
Temperature
